Lit by Peter Oloruntola 2nd April 2024
“Ikoko to ma ja ata, idi e a gbona” (A pot that cooks a meal must have its bottom hot) - a life lesson about perseverance. This was the first adage introduced to me by grandpa and I live by that quote till today. It was always refreshing having a gist with you about your life experiences and the important lessons that could be learnt. Countless memories of the medical terms you would teach me as a 7 year old kid and I’m inspired to be a medical doctor like you. Grandpa, you have been an inspiration and I am proud of the wonderful life that you have lived. You may have gone to rest on with the lord but your spirit and memories live with us forever. May his soul rest in perfect peace❤️❤️ Love, “Omo iya oni fufu”
